The Study Programme Event Management

The programme is dedicated to providing students with a solid foundation for mid-level management positions in the event management industry, based on cultural, intellectual, and moral development in a multicultural environment.

Study Contents
The programme is comprised of three main areas such as communication, management and practical training. Students develop marketing and business organisation abilities, and they are thoroughly trained in customer orientation and event management. The ITM College encourages students to enhance their language competencies in the classes and when mixing with their multicultural student colleagues. Needless to say that cross-cultural communication and understanding goes hand in hand. ITM displays a blend of cultures, styles and pursuits, and offers a truly extraordinary college experience.

For all wine enthusiasts, part of the ITM programme is the course "Wine Seminar". Upon completion of this course, you receive the wine sommelier certificate: "Jungsommelier Österreich". This certificate is a competitive advantage in the industry, and ITM is proud to be the first institute in Austria to offer this profound education in the English language.

College Garden Hotel***
The College Garden Hotel*** and the ITM College are located in the same building. Our students have the possibility to implement their theoretic know-how into practice. This so-called "action-learning" offers the unique opportunity for students to train their skills and gain confindence when working with guests and customers.

State Diploma and Business Licence
After successful completion of the 2-year study programme, students are awarded a Diploma. This certificate is officially recognized by the Austrian state as well as by the industry. With the successful completion of the ITM College, you earn the business licence for establishing your own hotel, restaurant or travel agency. In addition, the college diploma qualifies you for a bachelor's degree.

Bachelor's Degree
The programme Bachelor of Business Administration in International Management and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Hospitality Management with Tourism are executed in cooperation with European University and Manchester Metropolitan University. ITM students earn a bachelor's degree within one more study year. Furthermore, numerous well-known universities in Europe, the US and Australia fully accredit the ITM graduates to their undergraduate fast track programmes. Graduates of BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management with Tourism may continue their studies at Manchester Metropolitan University and obtain their Master (MSc) in Events Management, Hospitality Management or International Tourism with e-Business within one more study year.
